Privacy Policy for Norsk Lut and www.norsklut.no

This privacy policy describes the types of personal information Norsk Lut collects and how that information is processed.

Norsk Lut complies with Norwegian privacy laws. This privacy policy is created in accordance with the requirements of sections 18 and 19 of the Norwegian Personal Data Act.

What is Personal Information?

Personal information is data about an individual, such as their name, address, workplace, marital status, phone number, email address, etc. Information about your contact details, the reason for contact, and the form of contact with Norsk Lut can also be considered personal information.

Sensitive personal information, such as charges, criminal activities, health, and similar, is neither collected nor used by Norsk Lut.

For more information about personal data in general, you can visit Datatilsynet's website.

Who is Responsible for Your Personal Information at Norsk Lut?

Norsk Lut’s Office Manager is responsible for the organization’s handling of personal information. In the case of future delegation, only the tasks are delegated; the responsibility for personal information always remains with Norsk Lut.

Personal Information Norsk Lut Receives

Norsk Lut has two sources of personal information, both based on section 8 of the Personal Data Act.

The primary source of personal information is the information you provide yourself. This mainly occurs through the contact form on Norsk Lut’s website. The contact form serves as a platform between potential/existing customers and Norsk Lut. Filling out this form is entirely voluntary; you may choose to either complete it or remain a passive visitor. Personal information collected via the contact form includes phone number, email, and name.

Subsequent to the contact form, additional personal information may be generated through email, phone, and similar correspondence between Norsk Lut and you as a potential/existing customer.

Another source of personal information is data collected by Norsk Lut itself. This is gathered through Google Analytics, which tracks metrics such as the time you spend on the site, IP address, links you click, and the number of users at different times.

How Norsk Lut Uses Personal Information

The purpose of the contact form and subsequent correspondence is to respond to inquiries and obligations to customers. Norsk Lut relies on this open platform between itself and its customers to ensure satisfactory communication and final product.

Information from Google Analytics is used to improve the website experience. This may include making layouts more user-friendly, understanding user trends, optimizing and delivering expected services better, and preventing criminal activities such as hacking.

The legal basis for Norsk Lut’s processing of personal data is provided under section 11 of the Personal Data Act.

How to Manage Your Personal Information

The limited amount of personal data collected by Norsk Lut compared to other actors and online services is relatively minimal. This means that self-management options such as settings in user apps and personalized advertising settings are not applicable to us. The collected personal data is not used for such purposes.

However, you always have rights related to your personal information, which are detailed below.

Information Sharing with Third Parties

Norsk Lut does not share any personal information from the contact form, self-collected data, or information from other sources with any third party. If such sharing were to occur, you would always be asked for consent.

Secure Archiving, Deletion, and Internal Control

In accordance with section 13 of the Personal Data Act, all personal information received by Norsk Lut will be archived on a secure email or server for the duration of the business relationship between you and Norsk Lut. Upon termination of the business relationship, all communication and personal information will be deleted within 2 years.

Norsk Lut maintains internal control over how archiving, security, and deletion are carried out in compliance with legal standards.

Right to be Forgotten: All personal information recorded with Norsk Lut can be deleted upon request. If this request is not made, Norsk Lut will delete most personal information 2 years after the end of the contact.

Right to Data Portability: You can obtain a digital copy of all personal information Norsk Lut has about you. This right also means you can transfer this information to another organization if technically feasible and appropriate. Right to Access: You have the right to see what information Norsk Lut has registered about you.

Right to Object to Profiling: You have the right to refuse Norsk Lut from profiling your behavior and thus tailoring services based on this profiling. Examples include personalized advertising, service development, and market research. However, this is not highly relevant for Norsk Lut, as we have minimal interest or use for such extensive and detailed profiling.

To exercise one or more of these rights, contact us. You have a legal right to receive a response from us within at least 1 month.

Children's Privacy

Norsk Lut does not wish to collect or process personal information about children under 16 years old. Such information must come through a guardian.

Any personal information left by children with Norsk Lut will be deleted as soon as it comes to Norsk Lut's attention.
